Washington State Caucus

Well, Washington State's caucus has come and gone. My precinct selected all six of its delegates to the 11th Legislative District Convention for Barack Obama. Ginger and I were "elected" as delegates to the District convention in April, so we'll keep everyone informed if any bribes come our way. BTW, if you have the opportunity to participate in a caucus, do it. It is truly democracy in action.

Can you please explain what you mean by "elected" with respect to you and the Ginge?

It means the caucus goers from our precinct chose us as two of the six delegates to go onto the King County Democratic Convention. I say "elected" because there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm to be a delegate and we stepped up. Basically, the state's 97 (I believe) delegates have already been allocated, but the county convention elects delegates to the state convention where delegates are elected to the national convention. So, if we get our act together, we could be in Denver in August.

You don't still have California plates do you? I will give you a bottomless Red Bull and Vodka if you vote for "The Wuj". And, you have to put quotes around it...

Happy Birthday Ginger!

Happy birthday, Bill, from your Aunt Margaret, in Oakland, who's an Obama supporter!
Love and best wishes for many happy returns of the day.

Thanks, Aunt Margaret...in Oakland. It is interesting that I am finding more and more white baby boomer women who are supporting Obama. This, I thought, was Clinton's base. I need to research who is actually voting for Clinton these days.
