My posts are sporadic at best

Well, it has been awhile since my last substantive post. Some would say a long while, but I have been busy. Not much has been going on, but the wife and I did have family visiting. The family made the trip down to Mt. St. Helens, but the weather didn't cooperate. How odd that that that would happen in Washington. Mostly, I have been at work. Recently my company has done some hiring and that can be fun for two reasons. 1. You are able to hire some great people who will really help out the company. 2. (and this is much more common) you get to speak with the dumbest people in the area. Like the girl who said that weekends are fine. . .except for Sundays.

I recently discovered that I have leaking water pipe in the front yard. The wife found a guy who will do the work cheap just as long as I do all the manual labor. Well, if it saves us $2000 I'm okay with it, but when a rep from Seattle public utilities came out to inspect the leak and was asked how deep the pipe was, she replied,"18 inches. . .or deeper." I asked, "how much deeper?" She said she didn't know. I asked if 18 inches was the standard and she said, "no, the pipe could be any depth." I thanked her for her time.
