My next entry. . .

Will have pictures. I have also added two new members to the federalcheese network, though they probably wish that I hadn't. Casey Robertson's page is dedicated to real debate, something federalcheese is not. I've been thinking that maybe it should be, but we all know that's not going to happen. Erin Murphy is a nut.

I'm torn

Homeless people. On the one hand, they seem to have given up on the work-a-day world. They're free from the daily grind, as it were. Done with the whole commodity fetishism thing. But, then again, they do smell bad. And most seem to have mental illness and that could explain why they "seem" to have given up on society. I also get the feeling they don't have a lot of money, which isn't a good thing, but then again, maybe it is. The ones around my house lack any sense of morals or social values which would fit with their lifestyle, I guess. I don't know what to think anymore.

update

Some have inquired into when more will be added to "Story of Federalcheese." Their wait is over.

"You like things that are too relevant"

This accusation was made by my wife last night in regards to a documentary I had rented. I can't say if she is right or not. If Seinfeld and Woody Allen are relevant then maybe (I wish I were Jewish). I was too tired anyway as I had just returned from a loss prevention meeting in Los Angeles. Did you know that 60% of Barnes and Noble loss comes from operations, the other 40 from Justin Housman? It's true. Yes, I had worked until midnight the night before and had to leave by 5am the next morning in order to arrive on time for said meeting. Being asked to perform such a feat might fool some into believing I make a decent amount of money. I don't. I'm just a sucker. For those who have read "Empire Falls," I am Miles Roby. For those of you who have not, I strongly suggest you get a copy soon.

I used to hate Southern California. Oh, how things have changed. I made a stop at the Ventura In 'n Out for a late lunch and the SoCal images took me to another world. The Hispanic father and daughter riding their bikes. The boy in a wetsuit, ordering a burger. The guy eating lunch with zinc-oxide on his nose. Maybe the world is okay and maybe my hatred of humanity is unfounded. There is hope.

Did anyone notice that my grandmother now comments on federalcheese in order to correct my spelling?

Okay. . .

So, the Lindsay Lohan isn't as popular as the Jessica Simpson. Lesson learned. Next up: I abandon all this stupid "crap" and start posting real "crap" like, oh I don't know, how much I don't care that Apple is selling out. Or, for instance, how much I hate graduation weekend in SLO town. I think the worst part of it all was the "parting of ways" between parents and children that happens on this particuar weekend at my place of employment. Inevitably, a graduating son/daughter will ditch his visiting parents where I work so as to go and "celebrate" with friends. It usually goes like this:

Son-to-be-drunk-kid: "Alright, dad, I'm going to take off. I'll see you in the morning."
Just-hit-up-for-cash-father: "Okay, son. Hey, good job today and have fun. You've earned it."
Son-to-be-drunk-kid: "Thanks dad, I love you."
Just-hit-up-for-cash-father: "I love you too, son."

Gag. And thank you dad for never telling me you loved me in public. . .or in private for that matter.

Wow

The Jessica Simpson v. Nick La-Shay thing really took off. Who woulda thunk it? Okay, next up: At what point will Lindsay Lohan wither up and die? At what point should she?
